Taste and See That the Lord is Good

“O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” – Psalm 34:8 (KJV)

God does not want us to only hear about His goodness—He wants us to experience it personally. The psalmist invites us to taste and see that the Lord is good. This means stepping into faith, trusting Him, and allowing His love to transform our lives.

Tasting something means experiencing it for yourself. You cannot rely on someone else’s testimony alone. Just as food must be eaten to be enjoyed, God’s goodness must be personally encountered. His love, peace, and provision are not distant promises; they are daily realities for those who trust Him.

Furthermore, consider how Jesus fed the five thousand. The people did not just hear about the miracle; they ate and were satisfied. God’s goodness is not limited to others—it is available to you. So, the more you trust Him, the more you will see His faithfulness in every part of your life.

Even in trials, God remains good. His presence sustains us, His Word strengthens us, and His grace carries us through. When we take steps of faith, we open our hearts to His overwhelming kindness. Also, do not just hear about Him—experience Him. Trust Him completely, and you will taste and see that the Lord is good in ways beyond imagination.

Prayer Points:

1- Lord, open my eyes to see and experience Your goodness in my daily life.

2- Father, increase my trust in You so I can walk in full confidence of Your love.

3- Lord, help me to share my testimony so others can taste and see Your goodness.
