Divine Paths in Desperation

Memory Verse: “But Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'” – Matthew 19:26

Reading: Exodus 14:9-31

In the pursuit of the escaping Israelites, the Egyptians, with all their might, reached the shores of the sea at Pihahiroth, near Baalzephon. As fear gripped the hearts of the Israelites, they cried out to the Lord, questioning Moses’ leadership and expressing a preference for servitude in Egypt over perishing in the wilderness.

Moses reassured them, urging them to stand firm and witness the salvation of the Lord. The Lord commanded Moses to stretch out his rod over the sea, parting it to create a dry path for the Israelites. As they crossed, the Egyptians followed, but the Lord intervened, causing chaos among them. In the morning, the sea returned to its strength, drowning the pursuing Egyptians.

In this moment of despair, God made a way where there seemed to be none, demonstrating His power and delivering the Israelites from imminent destruction.

Prayer Point:
Father, make a way for me in situations where there seems to be no way, in Jesus’ name.
